🏃 Our amazing Year 2 pupils took part in an Indoor Athletics competition. They competed in field & track events against 20 other schools in the area.   💪 The activities included chest push, javelin, speed bounce, standing jump, and various relay races.

We celebrated our Young Carers this week with a fun trip to the park with Bertie, our therapy dog! 🐶 They were also treated to a delicious lunch on a VIP table! What an inspirational group of children! 💚

🏏 We had a fantastic day hosting our annual Sports Day! The children showed incredible sportsmanship and enjoyed testing out their skills on a variety of activities! Thank you to all the families who came to support and who joined us for a picnic afterwards! 🧺

📰 Our EYFS and KS1 pupils enjoyed a visit by a   journalist! Some pupils also took part in a workshop where they interviewed staff, wrote an article and created a front page about an upcoming community project. What a fantastic end to Careers Week at Cooks Spinney!

Nursery

Hello and welcome to Nursery!

We are now taking applications for September 2026 for children born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023. The deadline for applications is 27th March 2026.

Our school is very proud to offer a Nursery that provides early education for three and four year olds. Children are eligible for a place from the term after their third birthday.

Session Times

• Morning sessions: 8:30am – 11:30am (Monday-Friday)

• Afternoon sessions: 12:30pm – 3:30pm (Monday- Friday)

Each session welcomes up to 24 children, cared for by three experienced members of staff. Sessions run during term time only and are spread across five three-hour sessions per week.

Funded Nursery Places

We offer 15 hours of free funded childcare, with no additional charges.

30-Hour Funding Option

Families who are eligible for 30 hours of funded childcare may be able to access this through our link Preschool. Children would attend:

• Five morning sessions at our Nursery (using 15 funded hours)

• Five afternoon sessions at the Preschool (extended hours or option to pay)

Please note that the Preschool is a separate setting from our school Nursery, and applications will need to be made to both settings.The Preschool can be contacted on: 07525 266784

To apply for a place, please complete and return a registration form to our school office or via email. Registration forms can be downloaded below or collected from the school office.
