British Science WeekPosted: 27th March 2020
Incredible illusions and the magic of chromatography made for an exciting British Science Week.
Pupils at Cooks Spinney Primary Academy got hands-on during the week dedicated to science.
Subject specialists from Birchwood High School and Science Boffins visited the school to enthuse children with practical experiments.
Year 1 and 2 looked at the magic of chromatography and designed crazy hair for their Trolls and Year 3 to 6 had a workshop looking at Playful Polymers and Incredible Illusions.
Teddy, Year 2, said: “It was so much fun to see how the colours all changed.”
Jess Farrell, science leader, said: “It was so exciting to see the children engaged with science.
“Science helps children to understand the world around them and this week has been a fantastic opportunity to get everyone talking about it!”
