We are very excited to welcome all of our new starters to Pixie class!
This page is designed to provide you with the information needed to make the year as successful as possible.
Our first half term focuses heavily on settling in and getting to know each other. We have many exciting things planned, beginning with our topic of ‘Who am I?’ We will be learning all about each other, looking at what makes us different, exploring our emotions and learning about our families.
In English, this half term we will be reading You Choose, What Makes Me a Me? and From Head to Toe.
In Mathematics this half term, pupils will be looking at colours, sorting objects and matching pairs.
In Science, this half term; pupils will be looking at our bodies and senses.
Wider Curriculum
In Music, we will be learning to sing our daily routine and greeting songs.
In PSHE, we will be concentrating on learning about ourselves, feelings and emotions, sharing and responsibilities.
P.E- Nursery children do not participate in P.E lessons until the Summer term. Therefore, your child does not need a P.E just yet.
