In Maths we are to work on Fractions for the first two weeks and then moving on to Money and Time.

Curriculum

Geography

We will be studying Africa

Religious Education

We will be studying Buddhism this half term.

Music

The Dragom Song

In Science, we will be investigating Animals including Humans. (This topic coincides with our School trip to paradise wildlife park in July)

P.E.

P.E. takes place for

Ducks - Monday and Wednesday

Otters -Monday and Tuesday .

Your child must come to school in correct P.E. kit on these days. Failure to have the correct kit is likely to result in them not being able to participate in the lesson. Please see the school website for more information regarding the P.E. kit requirements. If your child has their ears pierced, they will be required to either take the earrings out, or cover them with tape, for the lesson. Please remember that Cooks Spinney only allows small stud earrings in school.

Homework

Children will be set homework weekly, every Monday via Class Dojo. They will be given a homework book where they are to record their answers, these will be due back in by the following Monday

We encourage childrent to read with an adult at least three times per week to help build up their vocabulary and comprehension skills.
