Year 3 - Ducks and Otters

Spring Term 2, 2026

In English this half term, we will be reading Charlotte's web by E.B. White.

In Maths we will be focusing on fractions, mass and capacity.

In Science we will be learning about plants. 

In Spanish children will be learning about following instructions and class room objects.

In Music this half term, we will be learning to sing and play instruments using Essex school's Charanga programme of study.

In Art the children will be continuing to focus on oil pastels and will be studying Van Gogh.

History will focus on the Ancient Greeks.

Computing will continue with children using Scratch to learn about simple coding.

In PSHE, this half term, we will be focusing on what makes a community.

Swimming will be on Monday mornings.

Both Otters class and Ducks class will have PE on Wednesdays.
