Nursery - Pixies

Summer 2019

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely Easter break.

Our topic for this term is Animals and mini beasts! We have lots of very exciting new learning experiences coming up for the children during this topic, which is broken down into five different categories.

Pets, farm animals, wild animals, under the sea and mini beasts.

We will be exploring different habitats and learning about where different kinds of animals live. We will be also looking at life cycles, offering hands on experiences of observing the life cycle of butterflies and frogs.

In May we have a very exciting visit from a mobile farm! The farm will be coming to school, bringing along many different animals for the children to meet.

To finish off the year, our final topic will be "Summer". During this time, we will be doing several transition visits to reception class, getting the children fully prepared for school. This includes visits to their new classes and getting to know their future teachers.

P.E is every Friday. Please ensure your child has a full P.E kit in school. Can we please remind you that no jewellery is to be worn for P.E and hair must be tied up.

Please ensure you are checking our weekly newsletter for upcoming dates and information.
