Year 4 - Kestrels and Rabbits

Summer 2019

Welcome back Parents and Carers. We hope you had an enjoyable Easter break and are ready for the summer term.

We are looking forward to working together as a partnership to help your child reach their full potential. If you have any questions or concerns please come in and see us.

Literacy

This term our class novels are “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” by J.K.Rowling and “Shakespeare Tales:  Romeo and Juliet” by Terry Deary.

Homework

Homework tasks including spellings will now be set weekly on Mathletics and Reading Eggs. If you’re experiencing trouble with logging on please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Reading

Please listen to and encourage your child to read at home. It is helpful to discuss the content of the books with your child, to develop their comprehension skills and understanding.

Science

Our topics for this summer term are living things and their habitats.  We will be classifying animals and will study the environments where animals live.

PE will be as follows:

Kestrels – Wednesday, Thursday

Rabbits- Wednesday, Thursday

We are looking forward to a great term working with you and your child.

Thank you for your support.

The Year 4 Team
