Year 1 'Explorers' WOW Day

On Friday 5th February, Year 1 were visited by a real Explorer who came in to talk to the them about the Arctic as part of our Explorers topic. The explorer has visited the Arctic on a number on expeditions and has a wealth of knowledge about this unique environment. The workshop included learning about the animals, environment and people of the Arctic. The children also learned about what they would need to include in their kit for an Arctic expedition as well as trying to get into an emergency shelter.
