CS ICT makeover

Why is the teaching of computing important for Cooks Spinney's pupils?

Computing capability is an essential skill for life and enables learners to participate more readily in a rapidly changing world. Computing gives our pupils rapid access to ideas and experiences from a wide range of people, communities and cultures.

‘We live in a digital age, and children need to understand how the devices they’re using work and how to control them,’ says Clare Sutcliffe, co-founder of Code Club, a new initiative offering free  coding lessons. ‘Raising a generation of children who can code will have massive benefits to our future economy.’
