Children learn to ride bikes safely

Posted: 16th May 2019

Children on the verge of gaining more independence have learnt how to be safe while out riding their bikes.

Year 5 pupils at Cooks Spinney Primary Academy have completed Essex County Council’s Bikeability course.

The two-day course included bike safety checks as well as learning of dangers of the road.

Headteacher Neil Stirrat said: “The Bikeability course is about making sure children are aware of the roads and the potential dangers of cycling on the roads.”

All pupils received a Level 2 Bikeability certificate and badge.
